Certification bodies database
Certification bodies are accredited, recognised or are the National Safety Authority according to Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2016/798. For OTIF, Certification bodies are either accredited bodies, recognised bodies or the national competent authorities and have to be notified to the Secretary General of OTIF in accordance with Annex A to the ATMF Uniform Rules (Appendix G to COTIF). According to Article 6 paragraphs 1 and 2 of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779 of 16 May 2019, Member States shall provide the Agency with the information concerning the certification bodies and shall inform the Agency about any change in the situation within one month of the occurrence of that change. The accreditation bodies in OTIF non-EU Contracting States have to inform the Secretary General of OTIF directly of the certification bodies they have accredited. Any change also has to be notified to the Secretary General of OTIF within one month of the change. The Secretary General of OTIF will inform the Agency accordingly, so as to allow it to update the Certification bodies database.
